The 2006 GVBR was an excellent ride enjoyed by about 3700 participants.  Weather was very hot for the first seven days, but as distances were a little shorter than in recent years, we were able to finish before noon and hence miss the peak of the afternoon sun.  Two steep hills; over the Tawonga Gap from Mount Beauty to Bright and over the hills from Whitfield to Mansfield.
