Twenty one brave adventurers set off to Phillip Island for the weekend 18 & 19 April 2008. Cycling, particularly on French Island, was the key activity planned.
The visit to French Island can be truely described as a "Once in a Lifetime" visit. You must visit once.... Roads that a 4-wheel drive could traverse were described as roads, else they were tracks. Jimmy "is that a tiger snake" da Greek found it a very 'fast moving' experience.
We had a great lunch, afternoon tea and commentary provided to us by Lois Airs who has been conducting tours of French Island since 1980; a 4th generation islander and who still lives in their 18th century chicory kiln.
