2014 City Run
A fantastic turnout ay 7:00am for the City Run, again lead by Trevor Randall, ably assisted by Peter OBree and Ross Cummins.
We catered for all with three groups, Peter leading out the "runners' and Trevor leading out the "walkers".
Ross Cummins lead the "short" runners. Eighteen runners were lead on a delightful and informative tour around many of the new and historic icons of the Central City district. As the runners passed through the alleys, laneways and coffee tables of Central Melbourne, specific stops were made at "Graffiti Alley", Mitre Inn, Hardware Lane, Queen Victoria Market, Old Melbourne Jail, New Melbourne Gardens and the Exhibition Building.
The fantastic group turnout with 50 runners reassembled to enjoy another great spread presented by Roger and his team of Jen, Anastasia and Patrick at the Swiss Club in Flinders Lane. Special guests included superfit Dennis Freeman, from Wesley College and our friendly rowing instructor, Dennis Ting. Good food, good coffee. A great place to visit.
We were all on our way again by about 9:30am.
Well done Guys and many thanks to our leaders."
